I manage a website (for work) and recently we paid a fiver freelancer to migrate our WordPress theme to one we can manage – it was previously a bespoke theme and we had to pay the original developer everytime we made changes.
It’s now using Elementor theme. However since the changes, the website occasionally works well for periods, but then sometimes it takes ages to load, I get ‘error establishing a database connection’ sometimes, the homepage occasionally loses its formatting (embedded video shrinks/ text boxes disappear- I thought I resolved this by updating elementor plug-ins but hasn’t seemed to work this time around).
I’m a bit stuck really, has anyone experienced similar issues or any helpful people have advice? I don’t have access to the server, am considering migration to a bluehost server i have access to once I work out how to do this.
