Question to those of you who work as real WordPress developers for a living, do you think you will have your job in let’s say 10 years? Many say it will disappear soon.
Most of the internet is hosted on WordPress. Who is saying it will disappear soon? Literally never heard this sentiment before.
Will websites exist in 10 years?
Imo WordPress will be done in under 5 years. That’s what I hear many saying.
If I’m still doing wordpress for 10 yrs… Yeah, I really don’t want to think about that actually.
I don’t think it will go away anytime soon, but it’s certainly being challenged by newer, more modern platforms like Webflow and Framer. You see more and more sites being built with them, and at least in my little bubble (the startup world), WordPress has since become pretty much irrelevant. Whether that trend will continue, who knows. WordPress still has the biggest market share, by a very hefty margin.
