I have been having this issue for a while I can’t quite figure out. I’m convinced there must be something in the sql database causing this to happen but I’m not super knowledgeable about databases.
At some point, I had to migrate my site between hosts & after a while I noticed that ghosts of media/products/posts were appearing in the lists when looking at my media library, posts, or woo product list. It’s always the same files, it says Could not retrieve file path. in the media library, although almost all of the images work & the reason I haven’t just deleted them all is because they’re linked to posts and pages and are somehow functioning properly. They appear in the list on pretty much every page of the library, so lets say I’m looking at pages 5-8 of my media library – each page will show these ghost files at the bottom after the “real” list of files.
Is there maybe a way I could look these up in the database and fix the broken links? I could find or replace them on the server & given them a new file link so they stop being corrupted. Stuff like optimizing and repairing the database didn’t help.
I’d also love to know what’s causing that so I can prevent such a mess in the future. Pls don’t tell me something like “just make a new site”, it’s a huge ecommerce site. I’ve tried clean installing woo & wordpress as well.
