Godaddy or some developer is driving me insane

got a client with a simple problem: his forms are not sending emails. ok I login to their wp see their sites they need an update, pretty simple. I sent them the quote they pay then I start to “work” I said this will take me 5 minutes….

Then I log in their godaddy. something is off…. I keep digging around and found this gem: they are paying for 5 managed wordpress …. and a deluxe server and premium emails ok get this.

ALL THE SITES are in the deluxe server, the 5 managed wordpress are just stagging sites… so all the DB and websites are sharing the same cpanel. well that is not all

I try to update the php from 5 to 8.1 from the loving godaddy dashboard it works. I login to the cpanel it says 8.1 too nice ok I login to the WP dashboards PHP 5.6.40 …….. some of the sites are

I spent days clicking the chat and it doesn’t work I call GoDaddy, the dude just said pay $100 and we will update everything… am like ok I let you know.

**in summary, even though Cpanel and godaddy dashboard show php version is 8.1 the wordpress sites are not getting it.**

I cant install smtp plugins or anything to fix the forms or anything because the php is too old.

HOW? IDK IN 20 YEARS I NEVER SEEM SOMETHING LIKE THIS.
