Ive seen posts here recommending things like Koko or wp statistics, but it seems those are mostly for website visits numbers/trends. Im more interested in looking at what things do the users click on how they use the page, if its only to click on certain links or general behaviour.
I am new to this so i kinda want to avoid GA (as i dont know how to set it up) so is there any good, preferably free, plugin that could give me all this info? thank you in advance

Microsoft has an analytic called Clarity. Besides visitor stats, it also offers heat maps, scroll depth, dead clicks and rage clicks, and a simulation of what the user is doing while on your page (kinda creepy). I think it might help you understand how your site is being used.
To use plugins on [WordPress.com]), you’ll need to have either the Business or eCommerce plan: [https://wordpress.com/pricing/])
If you are on the free/personal/premium plan, those are sort of “WordPress Lite” site plans. While some folks on this sub tend to poo-poo them, they work awesome for basic information sites and you get all the advantages of managed WrordPress hosting.
That said, tracking exactly what users do on a page is pretty high level stuff and I’m not sure that you are going to find a free plugin offering that level of functionality. But I could be wrong. I admit it’s not something I’ve tried to do before myself.
WordPress.com needs its own sub at this point.
