Hello reddit! A while ago my dad added Google Analytics to his wordpress website, but it stopped working. I verified it by opening the website on my phone with a VPN, and indeed, in the real time option i can't see anything. It doesn't see any device as accessing the website.
So I tried installing it again via the MonsterInsights plugin, same result.
I tried Google's own Site Kit, same result.
So I think my only option left is to completely remove every and all traces of Google Analytics, and then manually add them in the website's header, to basically get a "fresh start".
Problem is, I can't see where to edit the theme files. I saw ppl say in Appearance > Edit Theme > Header.php but i don't see that menu. Theme is called "Bakerfresh" if that helps. Also, if anyone has other suggestions, it would be appreciated!
From the appearance of you appearance options a theme is manipulating them and/or a security plugin is preventing you from getting to the theme editor option.
