Google Indexed My IP

[ad_1]

Looking for help after a number of marketers i’ve spoke to are stumped as well as a few techs, which I think is something that should be easily solvable.

I have a website where the IP has been index by google instead of the domain name. So when a user googles us and presses the top most link of our website, google takes them to [https://IP](https://IP). The issue is we’re getting certificate errors so the redirect can’t happen to the TLD. If the user vists our site at [http://IP](http://IP) the redirect issues without issue.

After speaking to a number of people, no one knows how to solve this quickly? It’s not like i can make a SSL for the IP as you can’t do that right?

I also can’t ask for a reindex because you can’t add an IP as a google property in Search Console?

The website is hosted through AWS Lightsail standard wordpress install.

Anyone have any suggestions?
