I see it all the time, people sweating over the scores they get on Google Page Speed on Mobile.
The thing that most people don't understand is not only do they use some Motorola G4 device that is orders of magnitude weaker than what most normal people have.
But they also use a THROTTLED 4G Connection.
I am sorry, but most people these days are on 5G connections ranging in speed from 1GB up to 10 GB download speed versus their 50MB download speed.
Not only that but the 5G networks, are orders of magnetite better in terms of latency.
Th truth is, anyone coming to your site from a Motorola device on a 4G network, is not going to be spending a single dollar on anything you are selling.
Also, as phones are becoming even more powerful, I really think the Google Page speed on mobile stats, will not mean a single thing.
Please with that said, I am not insinuating, that you should be building a shitty website, and not optimize for performance. But what I am saying, is you should not live and die by that Mobile score alone.
🙂
