Google still using desktop crawler for generatepress websites?

[ad_1]

I run 5 different websites and I’ve noticed that google never switched its primary crawler from desktop to smartphone on the three of them.

Incidentally, these 3 websites all have one thing in common: They use the Genatepress theme (two of them pro, one is the free version)

I know that generatepress is considered a great theme and that it should definitely be perfectly optimized for mobile (my sites work fine on mobile as well) but still: could google’s preference for the desktop crawler have anything to do with the theme?

  1. Has Google ever made any comments on the “whys” of the crawlers they’ll send out to a website.
