I am using local and want to use the local domains router option as i am trying to build a multisite. However, I keep getting the error that Local cannot update the host file. I made sure the host file is not read only and i can modify it fine manually without issues. trying the localhost router mode works fine, but since i am trying a multisite I need the local domains option.
Does anyone know how to solve this? Looked online and seems others are having this issue as well but havnt been able to find a solution.
That sucks. I been having a time of it with local for a while.
Are you editing your hosts file with admin privileges?
It’s a good idea to flush dns after making changes to the hosts file. That might be your issue.
