How do I find and list media ID’s in bulk?

So I’m trying to associate my media to each blog post for my records, and in my CSV export, I have an incomplete list of Image URLs, but in my content where the gallery is in the HTML, I have a complete set of Image ID’s. It’s hit or miss if all Image URLs are listed, whereas the ID list seems to always be complete. I think it’s based on the plug-in photo gallery that the people I am working for have used.

I’ve tried exporting the XML document (the one you would use in tools, backups) and opening it through a text reader, but it’s a very cumbersome, hard to find things, and a not human friendly way to read this data.

Any ideas on how I can get my media to display a URL and their ID on a tidy Excel spreadsheet?

Help me reddit-wan-kenobi, you’re my only hope.

  1. Why are you wanting to do this… for what purpose? “*for my records*” – wouldn’t an actual (offsite) backup be better?
