I just reinstalled WordPress on my NixOS box. I originally used a configuration via a .nix file which is how most services and programs are installed with NixOS. Problem was NixOS method is a PITA, but I have found both Docker and main way has been frustrating too. I manually installed via instructions on WordPress.org but as I said basically no posts will load(imported from the xml I made before i uninstalled and reinstalled. But imported or came with they give a 404 Not found message. Also https://www.papalpenguin.com/ will load, but https://www.papalpenguin.com/wp-admin/ gives a 403 Forbidden error. First thing I’d try is to resave permalinks – Settings > Permalinks.
Wondering also if your web server isn’t configured to correctly look for index.php as the default file.
