Hello all, Should I suck it up and purchase a theme?

I am trying to set up a blogging site. After fiddling and trying out a few free themes, I have not been satisfied with the results. In part, I was not able to customize the site to my liking because of a limitation imposed on free versions. My question is, If I want to achieve a professional-looking site, am I better off purchasing a theme and get it done with it instead of trying to save a few bucks?

What do you guys recommend? Any Favorites?

  1. If you want full customization freedom and it’s ok to spend some money, I’d think about plugins like oxygen builder or bricks.

If you have a little coding knowledge is better, otherwise there could be a learning curve for advanced customizations.

  2. Yeah, you can spend some money when you need the extra customization options. Watch out though, not all themes are as customizable as you think. Stick with something Elementor-based or something. Some of the new 6.0/6.1 FSE themes are good as well.

I really like Flatsome, personally. Lots of customization options, nice clean look, compatible with woocommerce

  3. professional looking means professional work. so, custom. work with bricks or hire a designer.
