Help with plug-in selection

Hello,

I’m trying to make a website that allows people to search for a business from a list I have.

I’d like them to enter a location, search, then the businesses closest to their location will appear on a map.

I’ve been looking at directory plugins but they seem to be geared towards users making listings.

Can you help point me in the right direction?
