I am developing a language learning platform and I’m looking to add a “Daily Writing Streak” feature that encourages users to write in the language they are learning every day. Here’s the functionality I aim to implement:
\-User Registration and Login: Users should be able to register and log in to participate.
\-Daily Writing Submission: Users should comment with a text entry every day to maintain and build their streak.
\-Streak Tracking and Rewards: Integration with myCRED or GamiPress to reward users for daily participation. Points would accumulate daily, and there would be additional rewards for maintaining streaks.
\-Streak Counter: A visible counter near their profile that displays the current streak length.
Challenges I’m Facing:
\-Setting up a system that effectively tracks and rewards daily submissions.
\-Integrating a streak counter that updates automatically next to the user’s profile.
\-Choosing between myCRED and GamiPress for gamification—any advice on which might be better suited for this application?
I’m considering using a custom post type for submissions or perhaps a dedicated page with comment capabilities. If anyone has experience setting up something similar or can offer guidance on plugin configurations, custom coding, or any other solutions, your insights would be invaluable.
