Help with WPVivid Restore – Stuck at 0%

Hi!

I am currently trialing 000Webhost’s free year of webspace as I have not long cancelled another deal as the price increase was unrealistic. I have attached my domain to it and WordPress is installed and seemingly all is good.

Before I cancelled my other hosting plan, I made sure to download a full site backup via WPVivid, which includes everything and is around 107mb in size.

When installing the plugin, uploading the backup on my new space, it uploads fine, but then when clicking ‘restore’, a big blank white box appears underneath with nothing in, which I assume should be full of text, and then when I click proceed, it is just stuck at 0% and doesn’t move, breaks the site and means I have to de-install and re-install wordpress again.

Things I have tried.

* Someone advised to increase ‘PHP memory limit for restoration’ to 512MB – but it was already set to this.
* ‘Max\_allowed\_packet’ to 32MB – but I can’t find this anywhere.
* I have changed ‘PHP script execution timeout for restore’ from 3600s, to 7200s.
* Using another migrater to upload, most seem to have a 10mb cap on uploads.

Doesn’t seem to work.

Can anyone advise any other solution, could it be something in the background with 000Webhost (run by Hostinger) preventing this from working? Never had issue with it before.

Thanks!

  1. Firstly, is your site on the lowest hosting plan, which often comes with restricted resources, as is common with many shared hosting services? If you don’t see it moving after a few minute, you might want to lower PHP version. If that all failed. You can only upgrade your hosting plan with a higher costs for more resources.

    Or simply export SQL and zip up your directory could work, but you might get error when importing database if they are on different hosting management e.g. cPanel vs Plesk regardless if they are using the same database.
