Highlighted text looks great in editor, but looks poor once it’s published. Is this a WordPress issue or a Gutenberg Blocks issue?

[This is how highlighting looks in the editor. I love this – plenty of spacing between the lines, the inner highlighted text stands out a little more than the other text, but still leaves space between the lines. Very readable.](https://preview.redd.it/ndf16j0rpmlc1.jpg?width=2901&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=30da36cd38365e0081e21d3eb775848df171c849)

[This is how highlighting shows up on the page. It’s blocky, each line is too close to the others, the inner highlighted text looks awkward. Not very readable. How do I get the published version to look like the editing version? ](https://preview.redd.it/0i70jctopmlc1.jpg?width=1735&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=42b4774fcfb9a887434f4c511062fe733be9fd66)

  1. On the live page, right click on the area in question and inspect it. Check out the css of the different layers of the div, paragraph, etc. and see what is really generating the style.

Add your own css or modify the existing one.
