I’m looking to start a history blog and would like to understand which plugins would allow me to create a timeline. Specifically, I’d like to be able to chronologically display (some of) my blog posts in a timeline referencing different points in history (and not based on when the date the post was posted).
So my post on Ancient Egypt would be 3000BC on the timeline and not last week when I wrote it.
I say ‘some of’ my posts as not all my posts will reference a point in time. Some might be time/event posts (like the above and I would want to dynamically insert a snippet/link to that post on the timeline), and some will be referencing something specific like the tools people used over the years, or talking about how Gold has featured within different cultures over time and so on, which wouldn’t be visible on the time line itself.
I’m currently looking through the below but want to make sure I don’t miss anything and that I don’t commit to purchasing something that doesn’t end up giving me exactly what I am after.
