How big a site can you realistically build with WordPress?

[ad_1]

* The proposed site:
SAAS Site with multiple levels of subscriptions.
* Long form questionnaires for end users – think 100+ questions with charts and graphs that subscribers fill out and then print as pdf’s to take to meetings.
* Extensive active forums.
* Maybe 5000 concurrent users
* Will need multiple plugins to make it work 30?

Too big for WordPress?

PHP solution better?

  1. The White House website is wordpress so yeah, it can handle just about whatever you want.

  2. There’s nothing too big for WordPress. If you have good enough hosting (storage space and bandwidth) you can make almost anything with it.

    But the question remains is it the most efficient solution for those features. In any case (using WordPress or not), you need to know what you’re doing and how to optimize your app.

    The community/membership part is quite straightforward – there’s many popular plugins for that.

    There’s even addons for contact form plugins that provide charts and other data analysis. Just not sure if you’ll find something that exactly fits your use case.

    If you know how to code, or you’re willing to hire someone who does, it’s possible to extend any plugin to fit your needs.
