I’m helping my voluntary neighborhood association transfer their website from the OLD Google Sites to WordPress. It’s going to be a manual copy-paste transition of very little data. My big goal is to create an extremely simple site that can be operated by retirees. I want as few plug-ins as possible, and if possible I’d like to know the impact of the plugins such as “We recommend this plugin (otherwise our gallery won’t work)”, etc. End goal is to have a website that needs barely any non-automatic updates and has fewer breakable or hackable parts. Does anyone have any recommendations for a plugin-averse simple website that is similar in scope to Google Sites?
