Hey, does anyone have any idea how to display icons next to my category field in post preview? Like [this example](https://imgur.com/a/3OXLfTk).
For example, on the homepage I have 10 posts with DATE, TITLE, CATEGORY taxonomy. I would like to add small 16×16 icons for each different category (have around 20 categories).
I don’t need anything for featured images or in the default WP category template, but only when people are previewing the post previews. I’ve got a popular SmartMag theme that’s made with Elementor Pro, but if anyone has any idea in which direction to go I would be super grateful.
There’s a “Category Icons” plugin but it’s not what I’m looking for. Thanks!

Are you saying you want them to be like featured image but can only appear when you hover over them
