Hi guys,
I want to build a website where users can register and later be redirected to a homepage where they can see their profile and be able to edit it (if need be). The website is a dating site that displays the profiles of people who want to be hooked/escorted.
The profile card should display minimal user info but when clicked, it displays all the information.
Now my problem is:
Linking and querying the database
Having a form that accepts user registration and then login

This doesn’t require a custom database. Just use any of the thousands of plugins that do these tasks. It sounds like you haven’t used WordPress before? This isn’t a simple job for a newbie.
Just use a membership plugin. Any of them do this.
