Hey everyone, I am just confused atp . I have wordpress website with no plugins.
I have been using tags as keywords and excerpt as meta description. It just got me thinking, is this correct or do I have to use html method for them ?
I am not familiar with coding so if it involves coding , a short guide would be appreciated.

Page title, meta description and page content account for the large majority of your ranking. Tags are worthless in terms of SEO. SEO Keywords are targeted by writing relevant content.
