Hi everyone, hope I can have some insight from you guys here.
I’ve been doing freelancing since I was 13 years old, now 12 years later – I do not know what my title is.
My career started by creating and designing WordPress websites, and it pretty much stayed like that for a couple of years until I found out about CPA, Affiliate Marketing and other online money making tools that got me through some years and also helped me learn design tools, video editing tools and more. I then co-founded a startup which also got me some organisational and managerial experience, I was head of marketing there and in the side I continuously make websites and web shops. I have constantly tried to get in depth of programming but failing a couple of times because of lack of consistency. In the mean time, I have also gotten my hands dirty with app development (which means I tried a few things here and there and I am in no way ready to make an app), got experience with the terminal, GIT and so on.
However I feel like I have small knowledge on all these industries, without excelling on one in particular except: WordPress – which as far as I can see there are no jobs for me unless you are a senior who develops plugins from scratch.
I feel lost because I know how to do a lot of things, I understand a lot of things and I cannot find myself under ‘project manager’, I can’t find myself under ‘web developer’ because well I can create websites but nothing too complicated with databases and stuff like this. I can’t find myself under ‘marketing’ because I’ve been far away from it for a couple of years now and I feel like I’d be lost.
Anyone had this situation in their life before? If so, any ideas / suggestions into how to solve it?
