Not sure this is the right sub for this but couldn't find one more relevant.
I know this is a bit counter-intuitive but I use the Download Monitor plugin with the Downloading Page addon and instead of having the download happening automatically on the custom Downloading Page, I would like to have a button that would initiate the download on click only. Preferably with a quick function in the functions.php file.
I've tried ChatGPT to find a solution, it gave a few options but none worked.
Why not just have a button and use the link download monitor gives. This is what I do and it works well.
