How do I set a favicon with WordPress’s new theme editor? (ver. 6.1.1)

I’ve been using WordPress for a little while now and I’m used to changing the favicon and site logo in the “Appearance > Customize” menu but they’ve updated things. There’s a beta version of their new Editor now and I can’t find anywhere that will let me change the favicon. Has anyone figured out a way around this?

  1. If you are seeing Site Editor instead of the Customizer then you have a FSE block theme. You can still access the Customizer though. Just go to Should still have the site identity option there.
