Hi, I have many years of experience in marketing but now I want to add more skills to land a new job. However, I am struggling to decide from where to start. I have basic knowledge about workpress like wordpress setup, install themes, plugins, editing pages.

100% emphasis. If you don’t know php, you’re never gonna be a WordPress dev. Learn react, js and jQuery while you’re at it.

Basic PHP, Html and CSS for WordPress theme development and theming is 100% important.
Learning how to add code snippets to the functions.php and and create your own custom template files is really effective skill to have for WordPress theme customization.
