I’d like to insert a button on my wordpress website that instead of downloading the pdf file, it just opens it on the same page. Does this work or should i just turn the pdf file into png or jpeg?
AFAIK it depends on browser settings, if I opened with Chrome it often open a new tab, in Edge it tends to download it. However you put the button link as “open in new tab”.
