How to delete a php-file from LocalWP’s admin?

[ad_1]

I’m practicing building my own theme and accidentally uploaded a txt-file named pages.php.Problem is: now I’ve made a proper pages.php-file the file still won’t work cause it seems to still think it’s the non-functional txt-file. So I want that gone. Deleting it on my hard disk seems to work, until I make a new file and the problem’s back. Is there any way of doing this apart from making a whole new theme and folder?

Edit: just for clarity, I don’t have webspace yet so this is all local.

  1. Well may be you are creating the file again with txt extension. Which IDE you are using?
