How to give someone permission to build a page in our admin, without being able to do other things?

[ad_1]

I’ve hired someone from Fiverr to build a product page for my website. She needs access to our WP Admin to do so. How can I make sure she only has access to building (specific) pages, but can’t do anything else? The roles that I can give her don’t seem to do this

Edit: we build our website with Elementor Pro

  1. Editor role should allow the dev to edit any page that you like. You can limit pages programmatically, based on several things – but what you should really be doing is granting access to a staging site and use elementor’s portability features to push the content to the live site.

Alternatively, hire a reputable agency or freelancer, and avoid the trust issues altogether.

  2. You can create a new user role specifically for your freelancer and customize the capabilities to only include what’s necessary for building product pages. There are plugins like “User Role Editor” that make this process easier.

Once you’ve created the new role, you can assign it to your freelancer, ensuring they only have access to the specific pages and actions they need for their task. This way, you maintain control over your site while allowing them to do their job effectively.

Just remember to revoke their access once the project is complete to maintain security. Hope this helps! Let me know if you need further assistance.
