How to implement horizontal scroll text box to keep text formatted

So I only have 300x900px space for a text box. This box is text heavy and there is often line breakage. I want to be able to have the horizontal size of box to stretch to 600px while keeping the box size the same as 300px.

I can then copy the text directly without any distortion to the formatted text and keeping within the parameters of the site
