How to install two separate WordPress sites with two domains

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping to get some guidance on setting up two separate WordPress websites on my hosting account. I recently purchased two domains: “domain1” and “domain2”. My hosting provider plan have multi-site capabilities, but I’m a bit confused about the installation process.

Here’s where I’m stuck:

I know how to install WordPress for domain1 (main domain).

However, for domain2, I’ve read online something about “creating a new directory, assigning the domain, and installing a separate WordPress instance there”. This sounds a bit technical so I would ask someone to guide me step by step how to do this.

To clarify:   My goal is to create two completely independent WordPress websites with completely different content so I dont want “wordpress multisite”. I just want two separate wordpress installations for 2 different websites.
