Hi there, I recently bought a domain and am hosting it via hostgator, but I don't see an option to install wordpress. How do I connect my website to wordpress? I am new to all of this so bare with me.
If Hostgator has cPanel and Softaculous, you can see the option of WordPress or WPToolKit.
Or else you could download wordpress from their website: https://wordpress.org/download and then upload and extract the .zip file in your public_html folder.
Once you do this, you have to edit the WP-config.php file with the db name and so on and once it’s done, visit your website and you’d see the WordPress installation screen.

I’d be shocked if HG didn’t have a one-click install. Look for it in cPanel or whatever they have that they might call a control panel.
