A premise: I could be wrong and have made some mistake in the settings……however the following happens to me:
I assign private access to a gallery to a specific user so that the gallery is visible only to him. This is good as that user has in some way “subscribed” the service.
At that point, however, that user can no longer search among the photos exif/iptc data he is supposed to have access to. The tool used for the search is a “Sunshine Search” widget placed in the left column (see the main page).
Only if I assign him the role of “Sunshine Manager” he will be able to search the metadata of the photos again.
It would be important to be able to search among exif/iptc data i.e. for finding a specific soccer player…
