How to move my blog from a subdomain to root domain… as seamlessly as possibly?

I have a WP blog on a subdomain ([blog.mysite.com](https://blog.mysite.com)) and nothing on the root domain ([mysite.com](https://mysite.com)). How can I move my blog from the subdomain to my main site without having to redesign everything, and manually re-post everything (not that there’s a ton of posts)?

Is using the exporting and importing provided by WP a good solution?

*I’m trying to reduce the number of SSL certificates I need to keep paying for.*

What I’m thinking is: I can have the blog at [mysite.com/blog])

(PS: I’m hosted at Namecheap. They are also my domain registrar.)
