How to replace the default wordpress Audio player?

Hi there,

How to replace the default wordpress Audio player? I mean, each time the default audio player is used for an mp3 file, it is replaced by a sonaar player instance.

and shortcode will be replaced with sonaar audio player. Also, grabbing the respective cover/album image jpeg automatically generated by wordpress media library.

I did a bit of reading and decided that when I need 301 redirects, I would rather not use a plugin but write the appropriate Redirect lines into my .htaccess directly. Is there such a thing as "too many" redirects for a single site?
