I’m a university student planning to start a bilingual (English and French) self-hosted wordpress blog. I will be manually translating the blogposts myself, but I was wondering how to best organize the translated pages without messing with search engine rankings? I’ve read that creating a subdirectory for each language is probably best, but I’m not sure how to go about it, any advice? And do I need to use a language plugin if I’m doing the translations manually?
