How to swap in new home page for existing one? Redirects?

I’m sorry this is so basic but I don’t want to mess up. I have a fully created homepage at a different URL and password protected for now.

I want to replace the homepage with it. Can I just change the permalink?

What should my process be here? Simple steps that I can go research.
