I'm doing some WP work on a site for a friend as a favor. She has a portfolio implementation that displays her published articles which works fine, but she's looking for a way to divide the items into two categories and effectively have two portfolio pages – one page for each of the two categories. I've been able to add categories to the portfolio via plugin, but that's as far as it goes. The category tags don't appear to do anything and I'm unclear how to actually utilize them.
Apologies if this is a very basic question but I'm blocked!
You can use ACF + CPT and Elementor Pro to create a custom post type for your portfolio, and you can add category and tag taxonomies within it. It’s not an easy task, so if you get stuck, feel free to ask me.
