HTML sitemap page appearing in Google search (not talking about sitemap.xml)

[ad_1]

A 2-week-old website. When I Googled the company name, the Home page and a couple of other important pages were appearing in Google search.

Since yesterday, only Home page appears followed by the WP HTML sitemap page, not talking about the sitemap.XML.

I am talking about HTML sitemap page, which was created and populated with all the page links, using the AIOSEO shortcode \[aioseo\_html\_sitemap\].

What would you do? I mean, what should I do next? 🙂

  1. There’s no harm in having the HTML sitemap indexed, but it’s intended for website users, not search engines. Google will probably just see it as a normal page with links.

Personally I’d submit the XML sitemap in both Google search console and Bing webmaster tools (use RankMath or Yoast).
