Https redirect issue

[ad_1]

Hi!

Hi!

Stuck with a frustrating problem.

I moved the site from one hosting site to another (clear Ubuntu 20.04). Everything was fine, the site was working until I started setting up HTTPS access.

Now, if I type the site address into my browser as https://{my\_site}.com, everything works OK, the site opens, all the sections work.

But if I type “HTTP://{my\_site}.com” or just “{my\_site}.com” then redirection occurs to “HTTPS://{my\_site}.com/WORDPRESS/” and I see only the message “Page not found”. If I manually remove “/wordpress/” from the URL, the site opens normally again and works like charm.

Physically the site is located in the directory /var/www/wordpress

Site URL and Home URL are set to https://{my\_site}.com (via wp-config.php)

The “VirtualHost \*:80” section in /sites-available/wordpress.conf contains only the “Redirect permanent / https://{my\_site}.com” line

Any games with Site URL and Home URL lead only to complete or partial failure of the site.

Can you please tell me where to dig to solve this problem?
