I assume this is a simple question?

.

(I hope this is an embarrassingly dumb question with an easy answer.)

I have to transfer some poetry from Word to WordPress. Of course, I can’t paste it into text—that’ll erase all the formatting. But when I paste it into visual, I get an extra space between the lines of poems. Which is no biggie if we’re talking sonnets, but this project is filled with 10-page poems and hitting down-delete-down-delete-down-delete is awwwwwful.

Is there something I can do to solve this without brute force?

  1. I always copy a word doc into text editor to strip the formatting, then reformat in wordpress. I like text to be as clean as possible, so there’s no code from word doing funky stuff.
