I can access my site locally, but not publicly. Can y’all check my steps?

I have a server with a separate WAN connection. I’ve installed WordPress using the Turnkey Linux LXC in proxmox, I have edited the address in /var/www/wordpress/config_php to be , I edited wp_options in adminer to show site_url is desired.url, and I’ve opened up port 80 in my firewall, NAT’d to the server – this last bit I’ve done before, I’m 99% sure I’ve got that right. DNS A record is set up for the domain appropriately, and a dns check on my domain resolves my public IP. Additionally, I can see in the firewall (PFsense) logs that the traffic is passed through to the server. Lastly, when I’m in network, and I visit desired.url, I access my site with no issues. It’s only when not on network that I have an issue. The error message is simply “unable to connect.” So this indicates to me that the block has to do with the Turnkey WordPress stack. Something in the wordpress config, adminer, or webmin is my educated guess. What am I missing? Thanks in advance.
