Marketing on enquiry form

I have a company website made with WordPress and we have an enquiry form made with cf7 in there. Since a few weeks, we have been getting a lot of spam enquiries from the form on our website. I had never encountered this issue before, so I researched a bit and decided to use recaptcha human verification to control the bot generated enquiries.
We also get quite a few enquiries where people are actually promoting their own products and services. Did you guys face this too? How did/ do you tackle this issue?

  1. It’s extremely common, more so with CF7 than any other form builder in my experience.

    You can try using reCaptcha v3, via the CF7 > “Integration” menu – but that’s getting less and less effective now.

    These days I will usually put clients on Cleantalk – has been bullet proof for the 3 years I’ve been using it.
