A client wanted me to fix a website and, not being a web developer, I accepted the offer.
Everything was fine until checking the website. The former developer used a pirated BeTheme and Slider Revolution. I informed him and told him to buy the license.
The thing is that, to reduce costs, I recreated the slides in the free version of Smart Slider 3. Now Slider Revolution is not necessary, but when I try to disable it, the entire website crashes.
It says a critical error has occurred (screen of death). And I was almost left out if it weren’t for the fact that I didn’t reload the plugins page and was able to reactivate it.
What could be causing that error? How could I get rid of that plugin?

Hard to be sure without the exact error code.
I recommend you to create a backup, or even better duplicate the site locally and try to fix it there.
If it were me (and I am a developer) I would export the content using the WordPress export function, then recreate a fresh website – new legal theme, the slider you created, etc. on a staging site.
Then just delete the entire mess. And I would charge them full price for a new website.

How’s that working out?
Not related to your question, but the Revolution Slider license is included in the BeTheme builder / theme, no need to buy it again.
Check out why that bug is happening like others said, and maybe because it is included in the theme and you can’t disable it or you need to disable it via BeTheme options.
