Would you please use to share a screenshot of what you see after attempting to deactivate a plugin?

I did not really get any error message, it only says “ plug-ins deactivated or plug in activated, but when I refresh the page, k still see them.

Deactivating plugins doesn’t delete them, so it’s expected that you’d still see them.

If you want to delete plugins, there’s a separate option for that:

I am always able to delete plugins, but I can’t activate or deactivate them. For instance: I installed a new plugin >> i installed it >> I want to activate it >> I would get plug-in activated >> when I refresh I would still find the plug in saying ( activate, delete) if I delete the plugin, it would delete, so no basic error message in this process.

I always see errors in query monitor like this, I have no idea if this can affect it.

Hello!

As you know, I had a similar issue.

First and foremost I would recommend you clearing all caches after each single step of the installing-/activating- and deactivating-/deleting-process. I use w3tc, the function is called “purge all caches”.

If I remember correctly, there was a case of two plugins using one same file. Thus I deinstalled the query manager, because to me it was the less imortant one.

Good luck!

Please can you help me with the process, would I do that in the file manager? Or can you send me the process to follow,

Thank you.

you are on the plugin page of wp

1. install a plugin
2. clear all caches
3. you activate the plugin
4. clear all caches

1. you deactivate a plugin
2. clear all caches
3. you delete the plugin
4. clear all caches

I don’t have any cache plug In installed, how do I want to clear the caches 😭

WordPress itself doesn’t cache, so if there’s no caching system in place now or in the past, there would be no cache to clear.

1. Did you ever use a caching plugin? If so, please follow that plugin’s instructions to ensure that it was properly uninstalled (deactivating/deleting is not enough for most caching plugins).

2. Does your hosting provider offer server-wide caching? Do you see a “Clear/Purge Cache” button in your Dashboard, admin bar, or hosting account control panel? If so, you can clear it from there.

There is nothing like Clear or Purge cache on my admin dashboard, but I have installed a cache plug in before, but i uninstalled it after installing jetpack protect. I’m so so confused.

What is the name of the caching plugin you used in the past?

I am not sure if I remember really, I think it’s WP FASTEST cache.

Hmm, ok, it might now have been uninstalled properly.

Please follow the steps at

I have done that it didn’t work still. How can I disable caches for plugins ?
