I know slider plugins get a very bad reputation, but I needed it for a project.
After tons of research, looking into what plugin has the least impact on performance, yet offers plenty of templates. I went with SmartSlider 3.
I was really taken back, because for the last 6 years, my understanding of what a slider plugin was.
I believed, it was basically, like a block that displays images/videos where users have to use the arrow key to view the next image or the back arrow.
But to my surprise they have 30 or 35 templates that are not purely for displaying images.
They had many blocks that produce very nice animations where as your scroll down, the next section gets animated.
So, for anyone looking to improve their game,
I really think this can help you improve your site's look and feel without having to be a "Developer" or an "Artist".
Also I hear a lot of people saying that they have done the research and nobody clicks on the image part of the slider, meaning nobody clicks the arrow and goes to the next image.
Yet, they also have the option where you can remove the arrows (to go back and forward) and have it set on auto, where you set a time and duration and it automatically takes you to the next image
Yeah, well …..
All those content sliding in from sides while you scroll are sooooo 2020 ….
