I know php and MySQL, and I want learn WordPress and create custome themes and plugins, but there is so much negativity towards wordpress that is holding me back, people saying it is a nightmare and the pay is low and code quality is low, and I should learn framework instead, so I wanted to know your perspectives here, should I listen to them, or wordpress development is good choice to invest my time learning it?
