The basic problem is that comments seem to be unidirectional:
Mastodon -> WP comments work fine
WP -> Mastodon, comments and replies don’t show up.
(Hubzilla doesn’t do comments either direction, but that’s likely my ineptitude)
One possibility is that I sanitized some discrepancies, where the site name was http://www.nomdujour<dot>.net, and is now nomdujour<dot>.net LetsEncrypt and WP path + Site path were changed in settings.
Jetpack was also installed after the changes were made, default options (I’m currently only using it for stats)
So far I have:
Tried disabling Jetpack. Currently re-enabled
Disabled Friends, Nodeinfo, Webfinger (still currently disabled)
Complete uninstall and reinstall Activitypub
