Whenever I log back in to any of my WP sites, I am always assaulted by rows of banner ads – Upgrade to our paid version! Give us a review! Thanks for using our plugin, try these others! Give us more money! It’s a horrific eyesore and should be outlawed.
The worst thing is plugins advertising their trashy crap all over the site – some banners show on every page until you close them, including on unrelated plugins. It’s continual whack-a-mole closing all this trash so I can get on with whatever I was trying to do.
I wish the devs would roll out stricter community guidelines, or code it out of existence, ending this bad behaviour forever. Plugins should only be able to advertise on their own admin pages. /endrant
